About the area

The Lake Region in Southwestern Vermont has been a summer and winter destination for over 100 years. This string of crystal clear lakes and ponds, surrounded by rolling hills, offers the best of Vermont. Excellent swimming, fishing, boating and golfing in the summer, apple picking and hiking in the fall, alpine and nordic skiing or snowmobiling in the winter. Nearby towns such as Manchester, Rutland, and Middlebury offer a variety of restaurants and shops, plus there are many places of historical and cultural interest in the area as well.
